Protecting your personal data is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains which data we process in the Lumora app ("App") and what rights you have.

2. Data We Process

Account data: When you sign in with "Sign in with Apple", we receive an anonymized user ID and – depending on your choice – your name and a (possibly anonymized) email address.

Content you provide: Text, topics and images (e.g. photos you take or select from your photo library) that you upload to generate exercises.

Usage and account data: Your credit balance, generated exercises and technical connection data required to provide the service.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis

We process this data to provide the service (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), in particular to:

• manage your account,
• generate exercises from your input using AI,
• process purchases and your credit balance.

4. AI Processing

Your input (text and images) is transmitted to our server and processed there using AI models to generate the requested exercises. Transmission is encrypted via HTTPS.

5. Purchases (In-App Purchases)

Credit purchases are handled through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment data is processed exclusively by Apple; we do not receive any credit card or payment details.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

We only share your data where necessary to provide the service (e.g. with our hosting or AI provider) or where legally required. We do not sell your data.

7. Retention

We store your data for as long as your account exists or as long as it is required to provide the service. After you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

9. Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and the associated data at any time directly in the App under Settings.
